Supporting the work of county-wide organisations, including civic, military, commercial, voluntary and social activities.

Connecting individuals, communities, cultures, organisations and social networks.

Leading by example, at a time of significant change and transition, with the Lieutenancy at the heart of Suffolk life, and representing the county far beyond.

Help us celebrate the thousands of volunteers across the country who work tirelessly to improve their local communities!

The King’s Award for Voluntary Service is an honour for just these volunteers.

Nominations will open later this year.

The Lord-Lieutenant presented John Norman with the Suffolk Medal on 3 February at The Hold in Ipswich. The Suffolk Medal is the highest Honour the County can present to a resident and John was recognised for his outstanding contribution to Ipswich’s people and heritage. #Suffolk
