Kings Award for Enterprise Awarded to UTM Ltd

20th November 2025
KAE Presentation to UTM
The Lord-Lieutenant presents the KAE trophy to UTMs John Talbot and Scroll to Paul Graham

The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to present UTM Ltd with The King’s Award for Enterprise 2025, in the category of International Trade.  The company is based in Mildenhall and supports military personnel and law enforcement professional around the world

The Lord-Lieutenant commented,

“We are so hugely proud of your outstanding achievement in international trade, driven by the export of your precision-engineered non-lethal training ammunition kits for military and law enforcement. It is nothing short of remarkable that here in Mildenhall you manufacture for export, conversion kits for over 300 different weapons.

By any standard this is an outstanding success story of innovation and state-of-the-art product development, reaching as UTM does a global customer base, including in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia.

Without doubt, this is one of the most exciting and successful businesses in Suffolk and the UK. You equip top professionals to keep us safe, and to combat terrorism and those who threaten peace and security. And how appropriate it is that you do so in such close proximity to USAF bases here in Mildenhall, and Lakenheath, the United States being your biggest customer.”

After presenting the Award the Lord-Lieutenant was given a briefing and tour of the premises to meet the Team and see, first hand, the company’s outstanding work and products.

The King’s Award for Enterprise is one of the most esteemed accolades granted to UK businesses, recognising outstanding achievements in innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
