The Lord-Lieutenant presents Burland Technology Solutions Ltd with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise

21st April 2023
Burland QAE Presentation
The Lord-Lieutenant with the team from Burland Technology Solutions Ltd

The Lord-Lieutenant, Clare, Countess of Euston was delighted to present, on behalf of His Majesty The King, Burland Technology Solutions Ltd with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2021 in the category of Sustainable Development. This is the third time the company has been successful, having previously been awarded the accolade in the categories of International Trade and Innovation.

The Lord-Lieutenant commented,

“What better moment to express the pride and pleasure we all share in shining a very bright spotlight on the success of one of Suffolk’s – and indeed the UK’s – most achieving international businesses. All the more poignant given this is one of the final Awards granted by Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Last year, she asked me to make this presentation on her behalf, and in doing so to convey her warmest congratulations and good wishes on your success. The Queen always took such a keen interest in the achievements of winners, and as an acknowledged champion of sustainability herself, I know that this particular Award captured her imagination.

The Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development is awarded to businesses whose products and services benefit the environment, society and the economy, and at Burland Technology you are undoubted champions and leaders in developing and sharing best practice.”

Managing Director, Richard Vass, updated the gathering on the work Burland had done during the pandemic and the latest developments in the company.
