The Lord-Lieutenant Presents the King’s Award for Enterprise to Purple Line Ltd

HM Lord-Lieutenant, Clare, Countess of Euston was delighted to present The King’s Award for Enterprise to Purple Line Limited, a leading Suffolk business in the recreational leisure industry. This was the first KAE presentation since the Award was adopted by HM The King, following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Purple Line Limited was one of only 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with a 2023 King’s Award for Enterprise.

The presentation was made on 13 October at Purple Line’s Wherstead Head Office. Also attending were the High Sheriff of Suffolk, Mark Pendlington DL and the Worshipful Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Lynne Mortimer along with the entire enthusiastic team at Purple Line Ltd.

Purple Line were presented with the Award for its excellence in International Trade. Their products range include Quattro caravan motor movers, FullStop security products and the OPUS self-inflating camper.

The Suffolk Lieutenancy

The post of Lord-Lieutenant is now an honorary appointment. The origin dates back to Henry VIII when its holder was made responsible for the maintenance of order and for the military measures necessary locally for defence. Go to our History page to find out more information about the role.
