Lt Col Anthony Fairbanks Weston DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant at the SSAFA Suffolk Branch AGM on Friday 21 March at Needham Market. He was delighted to present the ‘Sir James Gildea Award’ to Suffolk Branch Secretary Darren White during the meeting. The Award is awarded to ‘recognise SSAFA Volunteers for their exceptional contribution and commitment to SSAFA’s activities and values’. Darren has exemplified this and ‘demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment in his voluntary work for SSAFA Suffolk, making a significant and lasting impact on both beneficiaries, that he has supported as a caseworker, and his colleagues as the Branch Secretary and Mentor’
