The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to host the British Empire Medal Investiture at Euston on Wednesday 15 November. Six Suffolk residents had been recognised in The King’s Birthday Honours List for their exceptional service to their local community. The Ceremony was attended by the recipients friends and family as well as other local dignitaries.
The six recipients were:
Mr Richard John Clarke, Crew Manager, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service – for Services to The Fire Fighters Charity and to the community in Suffolk.
Mr Gareth John Elliott – For Services to Lowland Rescue and to the Community in Aylesbury. Mr Elliott now lives in Suffolk and chose to be invested in the County.
Mrs Karen Anne Harris. Police Staff, Citizens in Policing, East Regional Coordinator and Suffolk Manager, Suffolk Constabulary. For Services to Policing.
Mrs Louie Carullo Horne – Deputy Associate Director of Nursing, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard Clinical Research Fellow. For Services to Nursing.
Mrs Joan Mary Norman – Scout Leader, 1st Eye Scout Group. For Services to Young People and to the community in Suffolk.
Mrs Sandra Louise Ruddock, Co-Founder and Owner, Scarlett & Mustard Ltd. For Services to Business and to the Voluntary Sector in Norfolk and Suffolk.
