These are tumultuous times. As a County we mourn the loss of our Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth II and give thanks for everything that she has done for us all over so many years. On 11 September 2022 we proclaimed the Accession to the throne of King Charles III in Suffolk and we send him our steadfast support and allegiance. Across the County thousands of his subjects came to hear the County Reading of the Proclamation in Ipswich and later the same day, in all our market towns.
